A man has died after a crash between a motorbike and a car in Sanderstead.
There have been reports of a large police presence in the area of the collision, which happened in Rectory Park at about 1pm.
Witnesses reported seeing the air ambulance land near Sanderstead Pond, while Rectory Park has been cordoned off by police.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service told the Advertiser: "We were called at 1pm to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Rectory Park.
Brian Kennedy, who lives on Rectory Park, said: “The first I knew anything had happened was when I heard the air ambulance hovering in the sky.
“It is a terrible shame what has happened.
“We have lived here for 45 plus years and I can’t think of anything serious happening along this road.”
